As part of its strategy to promote road information in real time and increase the safety of the driver, the Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics has implemented this application intended for road users and which offers the following services:

• Display on map of events that disrupt or block road traffic (accidents, snow cover, floods, work, etc.);

• Consultation of the state of the journey (possible incidents, works, points of vigilance, etc.);

• Deviation proposal on a map in the event of road cuts;

• Notification by mobile push of road incidents nearby.

This information comes mainly from a central database relating to road incidents, fueled by territorial entities via a system dedicated to road information.

In addition to the above services, Maroute aims to be participative and interactive thanks to a functionality making it possible to collect the declarations of citizens concerning the disturbances or risks noted on their journeys. This information is subject to appropriate processing to correct situations and improve the quality and safety of road traffic.
